Crédit Agricole employees run for charity

| 19.10.2016 | Crédit Agricole Group

Each year, many Crédit Agricole employees run for charity, raising money for good causes.

Cariparma Running: charity races organised by Crédit Agricole’s Italian subsidiary

For 19 years now, Cariparma Crédit Agricole has been organising “Cariparma Running”, a charity race held on the streets of Parma. This year’s event, held on 11 September 2016, attracted 7,000 entrants – including a number of Cariparma employees. Some 3,000 runners took part in the marathon, 600 children participated in the Cariparma Kids race and there were 3,300 entrants in the “Running for Life” charity walk. Once again, the money raised was donated to charities in Italy.

Run in Lyon: running in support of the Centre for European Nutrition and Health (CENS)

On Sunday, 2 October 2016, 75 Crédit Agricole Group* employees took part in Run in Lyon. They were running to raise money for CENS, a network of scientists, clinicians and manufacturers that carries out public health and nutrition research. Together, they raised €1,660 for CENS.

*Crédit Agricole Centre-Est, Crédit Agricole Leasing & Factoring, LCL and Crédit Agricole CIB.

Charity races throughout the year, both in France and abroad

• May 2015: 7 teams from Crédit Agricole CIB Hong Kong entered the Oxfam Trailwalker challenge to raise money to tackle global poverty.

• November 2015: 91 staff from Crédit Agricole CIB, Amundi and Crédit Agricole Life took part in the FIT (Financial Industry in Tokyo) for Charity Run in Japan.

• June 2016: 70 employees from Crédit Agricole Group’s Ukrainian subsidiaries entered the Chestnut Run in Kiev to mark the charity day event. The Chestnut run is the largest annual sport and charity event in Ukraine.

• Late March 2017: SILCA will be entering 14 runners in the 30th Course du Cœur – an annual charity run to raise funds for organ donation.

Next race open to employees

The next race will be held on 2 December 2016, to coincide with the Financial Community Telethon. Group employees will be raising money for AFM, a charity that works to tackle rare, debilitating genetic diseases.
